Research Operations Manager (School of Population Health)

  • Employment Type: Part-time (21 hours a week)
  • Duration: Fixed Term contract until 27th January 2027
  • Remuneration: $147,379 base pro rata, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading  
  • Location: Kensington, Sydney

Details of the role

A Research Operations Manager will play a key role in the oversight and management of the research operations in the Implementation to Impact (i2i) program within the School of Population Health and actively develop and implement practices and procedures to support the research activities of the i2i research program. The purpose of this position is to support the expanding research portfolio of the i2i Program and facilitate continued development and maturation of operational processes to support research endeavours.

Some key skills required:

  • Design and implement an optimised governance model, inclusive of risk monitoring and project reviews.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a dedicated research operations and support plan and budget in accordance with a broader strategic framework and which supports delivery of the program’s activities.
  • Establish a Research Impact Framework Degree with extensive relevant professional Research Operations Management experience.
  • Manage external relationships to facilitate partnerships in the development and coordination of research operations and support activities.
  • Effectively manage change management processes to support implementation of new functions and activities and continuous improvement
  • With the relevant line managers, support and mentor the i2i team to deliver strategic and operational outcomes.
  • Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including Concur, Excel, PowerPoint, and RMS/Sapphire. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Good Research Practice and/or Good Clinical Practice including clinical governance principles.
