Why your role matters

This position is central to supporting both project teams and key stakeholders, helping to drive effective collaboration and communication across all levels.

In this role, you will work closely with Agile teams and stakeholders to coordinate projects, support Agile delivery practices, and maintain clear and consistent communication. You will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, managing essential tools such as JIRA and Confluence, and providing the necessary support to help teams deliver high-quality outcomes.

The Agile Project Support Coordinator will report to the Program Director, Lead Management & MDM. This is a collaborative role without direct reports, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about supporting Agile success.

Specific accountabilities for this role include:  

  • Coordinate and facilitate agile ceremonies and meetings including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain and update JIRA and Confluence to support agile delivery (dashboards, backlogs, epics, features).
  • Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and report on status to stakeholders.
  • Support the development of project plans and schedules.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving project risks and blockers.
  • Provide Agile and Scrum expertise
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the project team.
  • Develop and manage effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

About You:  

We are looking for someone who feels aligned with UNSW’s vision and values, who has excellent organisational and time management skills and comes equipped with:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and experience in a Project Support, Project Coordinator, or Scrum Master role.
  • Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Scrum Master).
  • Proficiency with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience supporting agile teams through the full project lifecycle.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.
  • A commitment to UNSW’s values and health & safety standards.
