Why The Role Matters:

The Project Administrator, Student Experience plays a key role within Arts, Design & Architecture in providing practical and efficient administrative support for the student experience team. Aligned with ADA and UNSW priorities, this role will provide support for key projects and initiatives within the ADA Student Experience team. This role reports to the Senior Project Officer, Student Experience, supporting the Student Experience Manager.


Accountabilities:

  • Provide coordination support for student facing projects, events, and initiatives such as student orientation, community building programs, and engagement activities.
  • Assist with the planning, delivery, and administration of student events in partnership with other internal stakeholders.
  • Support the creation, editing, and coordination of communication to students and internal stakeholders through a variety of channels and platforms.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and engagement with key activities, events, and initiatives for reporting and improvement purposes.
  • Provide support with the coordination of university merchandise and other equipment for use at events.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Student Experience Team and other nominated teams to achieve the Faculty’s student experience objectives.

Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the planning, coordination, and delivery of events.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and contributing to projects and initiatives.
  • Excellent time management, organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team and independently.
  • Well-developed level of computer literacy with strong level of skills in Microsoft Office and Canva software as well as confidence to learn to use new technologies.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
