- Remuneration: Level 6 $112,769 - $120,298 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading
- Location: UNSW Kensington Campus, NSW (hybrid)

Why Your Role Matters:
As Assistant Facilities Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings, laboratories and technical facilities operate safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Supporting a diverse portfolio of complex assets, you’ll help deliver high-quality facilities management services that enable teaching, research and campus life to thrive.
Working closely with experienced Facilities Managers and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, you’ll contribute to maintaining building performance, presentation and compliance, while supporting improvement and refurbishment projects across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver facilities management services across assigned assets in line with agreed programs and budgets.
- Monitor and report on the performance of external service providers against Service Level Agreements.
- Support the development and implementation of annual facilities management performance and improvement plans.
- Assist in managing minor works, refurbishments and building improvement projects from planning through to handover.
- Prioritise and coordinate work requests to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Maintain accurate plant and equipment records within the maintenance management system (e.g. Archibus).
- Build strong working relationships with Faculties, Schools, Divisions and service providers to ensure clear communication and high service standards.
- Provide reporting and operational support to the Facilities Manager, including deputising when required.
Who You Are:
You’re a proactive and service-focused facilities professional with strong organisational skills and sound technical judgement. You enjoy working collaboratively and take pride in delivering high-quality facilities management services in complex environments.
You’ll bring:
- A relevant trade or tertiary qualification and/or experience in facilities management
- Experience supporting building services and infrastructure in large, complex environments
- Knowledge of project coordination, budgeting and work prioritisation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
- Sound problem-solving ability and knowledge of relevant WHS and building standards
Experience in tertiary education, healthcare or public infrastructure environments is highly regarded.
