Research Associate / Postdoctoral Fellow - ARC Centre for Next-Gen Architectural Manufacturing (Arch_Manu)

 

  • Employment Type: Full time - 35hrs per week
  • Duration: 4 years fixed term
  • Remuneration: Level A between $88,290 - $117,718 (plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
  • Location: Kensington Campus, NSW Australia (Hybrid working from home and on campus)

 

Why your role matters:

As the Research Associate/Post-Doctoral Fellow (Level A) you will contribute towards the research effort of the ARC Centre for Next-Gen Architectural Manufacturing (Arch_Manu) and develop your research expertise through the pursuit of defined projects relevant to your field of research.

The role of Research Associate/Post-Doctoral Fellow reports to the Centre Director, M. Hank Haeusler and has no direct reports.

Please note, this position is based in Sydney, Australia.

 

About the role:

  • Contribute both independently and as a team member in collaborative Arch_Manu research with a focus to enhance the quality of the Centre’s research outcomes.
  • Conduct research (as per the norms of the discipline) and/or provide research support to Arch_Manu research teams to create scholarly output that is recognised by peers.
  • Conduct research while embedded within industry partner offices for defined periods of time.
  • Prepare Human Research Ethics applications.
  • Undertake discipline-appropriate research activities, e.g. surveys, literature reviews, data gathering and/or recording of results using appropriate research methods.
  • Support the dissemination of Arch_Manu research outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets, such as Q1 journals and the development of reports, white papers and training content for industry.

 

 

Who you are:

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience -

  • A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline (business, architecture, design, engineering, computer science), with a preference for candidates knowledgeable of business and/or management research and relevant work experience.
  • Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with disciplinary knowledge and industry developments.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent research in collaboration with industry partners, with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in data collection methods, analysis, and report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
  • Evidence of high-level interpersonal skills, including excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills.
