The team instils audience centricity and leverages UNSW’s Adobe and Sales CRM investment to deliver deeper personalised relationships through sophisticated marketing, content, data, digital experience and student recruitment functions, to support UNSW’s commercial and societal impact outcomes.
The Digital Marketing Campaign Specialist is a specialist role responsible for the planning and implementation of digital marketing automation to maximise lead generation and enrolment conversion for the future student audience in support of achieving the Gateway Access target.
The Digital Marketing Specialist reports to the Digital Marketing Lead, with a dotted reporting line to the Manager, Digital Engagement, Student Equity, and has no direct reports. This role is fixed term until December 2027.
Main overall responsibilities Summary
- Participate fully within the M&DX team, contributing to creating a respected and valued service. Deliver a highly customer-focused service, and demonstrate commitment to collaboration, excellence and continuous improvement
- Act as a key liaison between the M&DX and Student Equity teams to ensure alignment on Gateway-related marketing activities, foster collaboration across portfolios, and support the achievement of shared strategic objectives.
- Responsible for the successful implementation, review and optimisation of Gateway Admission Pathway and Program digital communications and undergraduate nurture and conversion journeys, staying abreast of market trends and innovation and incorporating learnings from previous campaigns into the development of new activities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Support the Digital Marketing Lead and Digital Experience Manager in developing communications strategy and uplifting the digital customer experience
- Utilise Adobe Marketing Cloud to target relevant audiences with highly personalised omni-channel experiences, and embedding test and learn methodologies and processes to optimise performance
- Collaborate with the marketing, content and web teams to optimise websites and digital content for improved sales funnel conversion
- Engage with recruitment and faculty stakeholders to align deliverables and messages, ensuring the customer is at the heart of the experience
Who You Are
We are looking for someone who is aligned with UNSW’s vision and values, and who comes equipped with:
- Demonstrated extensive experience working with marketing automation platforms, with Adobe Marketing Cloud experience preferred
- Commercial acumen and knowledge of digital marketing / ecommerce, with an understanding of sales funnels and activation. Experience in student recruitment will be highly regarded
- Ability to apply judgement, creativity and flexibility to generate new optimisation approaches and to solve problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of students, staff and external stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
Working hours are Monday to Friday, business hours. The team works on a hybrid basis.
