The Marketing Analytics Platform Lead is responsible for maintenance, integration and ongoing optimisation of UNSW marketing analytics platforms and systems (Adobe digital stack) to deliver a deep understanding of customer preferences and behaviours that derives in increased preference, lead generation, enrolment conversion and ultimately ROI for UNSW’s future learner audiences as well as delivering on the outcomes and KPIs of UNSW’s Societal Impact Framework.

The role will play a critical role in maximising UNSW’s investment in customer marketing technology, the development, implementation and optimisation of omnichannel tracking, digital asset management and analytical and predictive segmentation models and co-creation of an experimentation framework that future-proofs UNSW’s audience segmentation approach, to create a single enriched view of the customer.

The Marketing Analytics Lead reports to the Manager, Marketing Analytics & Performance and has no direct reports.

Main responsibilities summary 

  • Manage the marketing analytics platforms to enable efficient digital asset management, audience segmentation, and customer journey insight generation whilst collaborating with IT system owners in maintaining system integrity, data security, and user access controls
  • Responsible for coordination and execution of digital media, web, and mobile tagging, tracking, and reporting to support channel measurement and accurate attribution
  • Working collaboratively with marketing experts to design, develop, and implement a behavioural segmentation of audiences
  • Own reporting on digital marketing activity, including report and dashboard building. Ensuring all relevant data feeds are live and accurately linked to internal / external performance dashboards
  • Support the development of a structured, standardised approach and roadmap to execute A/B testing, collect and analyse data and identify trends and insights to maximise campaign ROI
  • Advance the creation of an enterprise-wide multi-touch marketing attribution model that allows for the continuous measurement and optimisation of marketing ROI
  • Act as project leader to develop a robust marketing platform data strategy (data management projects to support business goals) for the M&DX group
  • End-to-end execution of analytics priorities that include (but are not limited to) scoping, building, testing, implementation, maintaining, and optimising customer models
  • Produce briefing notes for senior stakeholders that pertain to the advancement of marketing analytics priorities
  • Coach cross-divisional stakeholders and junior team members in use of data tools and develop a training and enablement roadmap for the M&DX data environment

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who is aligned with UNSW’s vision and values. We also need you to come equipped with:

  • Track record of implementing successful digital marketing campaigns in complex organisations; with experience of measuring effectiveness and return on investment
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Platform products, and in particular with Adobe Analytics, Real-Time CDP and Adobe Customer Journey Analytics are highly desired
  • Proven experience applying advanced analytical and statistical methods in the commercial world to solve business problems
  • Demonstrated impact in new areas, as well as well-honed interpersonal skills with a high-level of confidence interacting with senior stakeholders
  • Advanced project management skills with an ability to manage multiple concurrent and complex projects (end to end)
  • Provide high-level advice, review and re-engineer complex systems and processes.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, business hours.  The role is based in Sydney – Kensington Campus and works in a hybrid way (1 to 2 days per week in the office – Tuesday is the core day).
