Why this role matters:
UNSW Canberra is seeking a proactive and organised Project Officer to support the School of Systems & Computing in delivering key academic and operational initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across diverse projects, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring smooth delivery of outcomes through strong communication and administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the coordination and delivery of school and faculty projects aligned with strategic goals.
• Monitor and report on project progress, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
• Provide administrative and governance support including meeting coordination, minute-taking, and follow-ups.
• Develop and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the development of project documentation, schedules, and reporting tools.
• Ensure compliance with UNSW governance, policies, and health and safety standards.
About You:
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in project coordination or administration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project-related tools.
• Experience working collaboratively in a team and liaising with diverse stakeholders.
• Understanding of project lifecycles and governance frameworks.
Eligibility:
The successful candidate will be required to undertake pre-employment checks prior to commencement in this role. These include verification of qualifications, criminal history, identification, and Australian work rights.
