Position Summary:

The Career Accelerator team is responsible for the delivery of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and Career Development Learning (CDL) for the Business School including Case Competitions. The Career Accelerator team also supports the UNSW Business School Consulting Club and overseas the local and global case competition program. The role entails providing program management, reporting and analytical support, developing communications, building key internal and external relationships, and developing/ consulting on key programs and projects.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage a range of initiatives that support student career-readiness and employability, and positively impact student experience and satisfaction, across the Business School.
  • Develop, deliver and facilitate case competition programs for Business School students through face-to-face and online delivery methodologies, in collaboration with the University Consulting Club, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assume responsibility and take initiative to lead key processes to scale student engagement and skill development across initiatives.
  • Monitor, track and report on the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans for assigned projects.
  • Assist in identifying suitable industry and alumni contributors together with the Industry Engagement team and deliver quality stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide strategic and pro-active project support and advice to project team and stakeholders and managing project risks, providing solutions where applicable.
  • Undertake other ad hoc projects as directed by the Program Manager or Director, Career Accelerator and Student Engagement.

Skills and Experience:

To be considered you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and extensive project management experience.
  • Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organisation.
  • Proven project experience, with an understanding of the project life cycle and development of project plans, objectives and documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship management, stakeholder engagement with a demonstrated record of achieving results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate openly and regularly with a range of stakeholders/client groups.
  • Advanced level of computer literacy and skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
