The Opportunity

  • Starting from Level 6 at $100,354 + 17% super + leave loading

The Research Analysis, Data, and Reporting team (RADAR) supports UNSW’s ongoing growth as a leading research-intensive university in Australia. The team is responsible for reporting on the University’s research activity and performance, monitoring its position in national and international university rankings, and driving strong outcomes in research engagement and impact. RADAR also maintains, develops, and enhances the Division’s research metrics tool, ‘BORIS,’ while providing support for research applications. Additionally, the team delivers business improvement and integration services to ensure all systems and solutions continue to meet evolving business needs effectively.

Reporting to Deputy Director, Research Analysis, Data and Reporting, Karoliina Guss, you will gain valuable experience as part of a dynamic team of analysts, working to deliver improved outcomes for research administration at UNSW. Utilising your skills in Excel, SQL, and Power BI, you will develop innovative, automated reporting solutions and enhance processes related to research grants management, higher degree research, and research ethics compliance. Familiarity with academic research is an advantage, along with strong technical aptitude and a keen interest in process design, workflow optimisation, and organisational efficiency.
