As the Agile Project Manager seamlessly blends the structured planning and stakeholder management of a Project Manager with the agile facilitation and team empowerment of a Scrum Master. You will navigate confidently across traditional, agile and hybrid environments, adapting their approach to suit the delivery context and the needs of complex programs of work. You will also lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of high-value digital initiatives, applying agile principles and practices to drive outcomes while maintaining focus on scope, timelines and alignment with strategic goals.

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with substantial experience as an IT Project Manager, Delivery Manager and Scrum Master.
  • Agile certification (e.g. Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Scrum Master or equivalent).
  • (Preferred) Prince 2 or PMP certification.
  • Significant experience in managing multiple projects or workstreams (agile teams) concurrently through the complete project lifecycle, with the ability to deliver to project estimates plans.
  • 5+ years’ experience in leading agile teams, preferably digital related deliveries, in a large and complex organisation.
  • Proven ability to lead the implementation of robust digital strategies to deliver business outcomes and experience with driving technology change.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience in a range of application development methodologies including ‘agile’, scrum’, ‘kanban’, ‘devops’, ‘lean’ and ‘rapid’ application development methodologies.
  • Sound experience with Agile SDLC delivery tools i.e., JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Manage vendors for successful delivery of contractual obligations.
  • Effective analytical, business planning and budgeting skills.
  • Strong leadership and effective people management skills, with experience in building effective / high performance teams along with developing and retaining staff.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills. Able to develop effective relationships and influence key stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
  • Proven ability to exercise independent judgement and problem solving with the ability to resolve and address issues as they arise
  • Comprehensive communication, consultation, influencing and negotiation skills and proven ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organisation and partner/vendor resources.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
