The School of Systems & Computing  is a vibrant place with key focus areas in computer science, cyber security, systems engineering, optimisation, and artificial intelligence. The school’s academic staff pride themselves in providing excellent education to undergraduate and postgraduate student cohorts in a variety of delivery modes, while also conducting cutting-edge research in interdisciplinary teams with a focus on societal impact.

The position is a12-month fixed-term 0.4 full-time equivalent (FTE) appointment and based in Canberra. The role of Lecturer reports to Head of School, Systems & Computing and has no direct reports.

 

Who You Are (skills and experience): 

• A PhD in Cyber Security or related discipline and/or relevant work experience

• Demonstrated experience in Information operations, cyber-crime laws and cyber-crime prevention strategies

• Demonstrated experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, development of teaching materials, meaningful assessment design, and online delivery methods

• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline-based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales).

Eligibility: 
The successful candidate will be required to undertake pre-employment checks prior to commencement in this role. The checks that will be undertaken are listed in the Position Description. You will not be required to provide any further documentation or information regarding the checks until directly requested by UNSW.  

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia to be considered for this position.
