The Opportunity

The Faculty of Engineering at UNSW plays a key role in advancing innovation, and every achievement comes with a story worth sharing. As part of the External Engagement Team, the Copy and Audio-Visual Content Coordinator will support the faculty by creating informative and engaging content that highlights the contributions of researchers, teachers, and engineering solutions. In this embedded role, your work will focus on crafting high-value storytelling and developing multimedia that elevates the faculty’s visibility, enhances its reputation, and showcases the incredible impact of its groundbreaking initiatives.

The role reports to the External Engagement Manager (Engineering) and has no direct reports.

  • Salary, Level 6: $100,354 to $107,054 per annum + 17% superannuation
  • Full time
  • Fixed-Term – 12 months
  • Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven expertise in content production and curation across most digital mediums including video, long-form writing and social media.
  • Knowledge of best practice digital content including analytics and SEO.
  • Ability to deliver a highly customer focused service with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Impeccable attention to detail to ensure accuracy, consistency and the ability to enhance and bring content to life.
  • Understanding of target audiences, with an effective writing style and ability to deliver high impact messaging to key audiences.
  • Proven success using initiative to develop and drive innovative angles to reach different audiences.
  • A team focused outlook.
  • Advanced level of computer literacy with excellent sills in Microsoft Office applications and video creation and editing software.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
