Post-Doctoral Fellow (Multicentre Evaluation of Near vision

and Outdoor time in Kids (MENOK) study)

  • Employment Type: Part - time (14 hours a week)
  • Duration: Fixed Term position until September 2026
  • Remuneration: $110,059 base prorated (+ 17% Super, leave loading)
  • Location: Kensington, Sydney   

Why this role matters 

This role will undertake specific research tasks for the ongoing conduct of the Multicentre Evaluation of Near vision and Outdoor time in Kids (MENOK) study under the guidance of a research leader including liaising with research collaborators involved in the study. The researcher will also conduct research (as per the norms of the discipline) and/or enable research teams to create scholarly output that is recognised by peers related to near vision behaviour in children.

Some key skills required: 

  • A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
  • Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
  • Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students.
