Why your role matters

Reporting to the Alumni Experience Manager, the Alumni Engagement Officer will engage with UNSW alumni with the purpose of building ongoing support and participation through fostering mutually beneficial relationships.

As the successful Alumni Engagement Officer, you will have robust communication and relationship management skills and will employ both in the delivery of alumni engagement programs.

The role requires creativity, strong attention to detail and a data-driven mindset and the ability to harness a variety of platforms (analytics and comms) and channels (online and in-person) to drive engagement.

 Who you are

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and substantial experience or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Extensive communications experience (marketing and/or fundraising) with a focus on eDM communication, digital campaigns, web content and social media.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • High level interpersonal and negotiation skills including the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in the research, development, delivery, and evaluation of alumni and strategic engagement programs, initiatives, and projects.
  • Demonstrated success working effectively and sensitively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organisation.
