The National Centre for Clinical Research on Emerging Drugs of Concern (NCCRED) is a new national entity that supports clinical treatment interventions across the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) spectrum from prevention to dependence at all levels of severity and for all population groups.
The Centre is made up of a consortium of the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC), lead agency, as well as St Vincent’s Health Australia (SVHA), National Drug Research Institute (NDRI) – Curtin University of Technology, and the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA) – Flinders University.
The Executive Assistant provides effective and efficient high-level administrative support to a range of senior positions within the Centre, including the Centre Director. This position is the first point of contact for the Centre Director and coordinates an extensive range of office and information systems, ensuring that professionalism and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
About the role
- Based St Vincent’s Hospital Darlinghurst (3 days) and Randwick (2 days)
- $88,782 - $94,709 + 17% Superannuation + leave loading
- Fixed Term Contract until 30 June 2022, 35 hours per week
The role of Executive Assistant reports to the Project Officer and has no direct reports.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and relevant experience supporting a senior manager or executive, or equivalent competence gained through another combination of education, training and executive-level administrative experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate with and influence diverse internal and external stakeholders across all levels.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, including proven ability to establish priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated experience working within the health/medicine sector would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated initiative, well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills and proven experience identifying and implementing business improvement activities.
- Demonstrated experience working on confidential and sensitive matters, with proven ability to apply knowledge and experience to resolve complex administrative matters, with discretion, tact and sound judgment.
- Strong computer skills, in particular, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, relevant databases and financial software programs, as well as web maintenance/intranet software.
